Dia 203 – The Foundry and the IstanbuL
I recently had the overall privilege of instructing at the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the workshops third year running and once again it proved to be a inspiration and energetic experience. I have participated in the workshop all three years thus far and have every intention to continue to do so. From faculty to participants everyone enjoyed themselves and walked away learning something new, or at least I did.
The week was long but passed so quickly and it was a such a great experience seeing all my friends together again and taking part of something that has a overall enthusiastic approach to photography. Seeing all the particapnts frantically running around to shoot their stories, grabbing instructors passing by for a quick portfolio reveiw or to just grab a bit of advice. To see all the participants networking, becoming friends with each other and creating, hopefully, lasting relationsips that will continue to grow like the ones I made at my first Foundry experience.
To my class, it was not only a privedge but a honor to have had the time to get to know you and your work. Keep shooting!
