Sarah Elliott is a graduate of Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. In addition she has also taken courses at Rhode Island School of Design and The International Center of Photography.

Sarah has traveled extensively and is focused on photographing social issues. Stories include the effects of landmines in Cambodia, post election violence in Kenya, renewed fighting in The Democratic Republic of the Congo, and maternal health challenges in Ethiopia.

Sarah has interned for James Nachtwey and assisted for Stanley Greene. She is currently based in Nairobi, Kenya and pursing freelance opportunities. Sarah’s photographs have been published by The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, The Daily Telegraph, The Times, Financial Times, The Guardian, Stern, LExpress, The Observer, ARISE Magazine, Monocle, Men’s Vogue, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, USA Today, Abu Dhabi’s The National, Grazia Magazine, Bild am Sonntag, BBC, MSNBC, Reuters, European Press-photo Agency, Médecins Sans Frontières, Concern and The Red Cross.
